DJ Radius Bio

The Story

DJ Radius came to the Portland area in 1997 from the Midwest.

From his early days spinning 7 hour melodic/uplifting/vocal trance sets to his recent years dropping glitchy & sexy electro house, Radius will take you on a sonic journey that you won't forget.

Spinning for crowds since 2002, Radius has played a spectrum of indoor/outdoor venues across the West Coast in Oregon (dozens of PDX venues), California (LA, San Fran), Nevada (Burning Man), and Washington (various outdoor events). His radio presence is established with nearly two dozen set broadcasts on Portland's 94.7FM KNRK and he's netted over 2500 downloads of his demos over the years (find some at www.djradiuspdx.com under the Downloads page).

His electro house sets are comprised of glitchy and electic tracks that are undeniably danceable. Regardless of the what & where, the bottom line is that Radius is gonna rock the decks and get you dancing.

The DJ Radius Trance Sound

He was heavily influenced by DJs like Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, DJ Tiesto, and Armin Van Buuren during his initial forays into the genre of trance, a journey that began in 1998. In addition to trance, Radius has added electro house to his favorite genres to spin.

A trance fanatic from day one, DJ Radius likes to create an environment of energy and excitement that gets you up and dancing; a soundscape where the ebbs and flows of trance take you on a journey filled with rich aural textures and body-charging energy. Whether playing epic anthem trance classics, vocal trance melodies, rich and uplifting euphoric nonvocal trance, or even bangin' hardtrance, the environment is sure to please. DJ Radius feels as if he spends only a short time as a DJ between tracks and the rest of the time connected to the dance floor, just as he was when first beginning his journey through this genre. The DJ Radius Electro House Sound

DJ Radius doesn't play the softer electro house, instead he searches out the "glitchy beats" -- chunky, dirty, bouncy sounds in electro house that vibrate your body. A set from DJ Radius will keep you dancing to the dirty beats!
